The Challenge
Small shop owners in markets like Lagos operate in a chaotic environment: patchy internet, shared tablets, staff you can't always supervise, and suppliers who want to be paid in cash today. The software had to be just as resilient as they are: keep working offline, never double-sell the last unit, and never lock out a business owner because a payment webhook was slow.
The Approach
Every scary edge case was handled at the level it actually lives — the database. Stock can't oversell because the check and the decrement happen in the same breath. Offline sales sync without risk of being recorded twice. And no matter how many people share a device, each shop's data stays completely private to that shop.
